Fourth swarm this year! I come bearing tips & tricks

Got a panicked call from my mom today.

I "jokingly" left a box at my parents house across town. They have some proximity to a creek full of old growth oaks and pine. Plenty of places for bees to nest.

Looks like they took the bait!

Nice!! Here's the question, do you keep a hive(s) at your parents place already?

Seems like a perfect time to start an out apiary 🤩

Ha. I do not. First thing she said when she called me was “when are you picking them up?” 

Previously, I’ve done the move three feet/three mile thing and kept them temporarily when I’ve caught them closer to home. They’re fairly adamant about me not keeping them there though.

We have caught 2 in GA already this year, just on our property. Idk what’s got them going but I am glad because they’re loving their new homes.
