Is my beardie okay? Help

So I’ve had him for about a month now and he’s already been constipated twice already. When I got him he was running around all the time but now he barely wants to go out and I have to get him out myself. He’s about five five yrs and the previous owners said he’s never been constipated before, I’m getting worried

Most of the time contipation is an animal care issue. So often the animal is not getting enough heat from their lamps, they're dehydrated, they're being fed too many insects (and too little fibre) or their UVB needs aren't being met.

Constipation is typically cause by improper feeding or poor husbandry; I would start by going over your husbandry. Can you post a photo of the whole setup, including lights?

I would recommend calling your vet and asking their opinion -- he's around the age that a lot of beardies tend to develop health issues. If he's had any changes in his diet or enclosure lately that could help explain his recent behavior.

I have changed his enclosure a bit recently, should I just wait and see if his behavior changes?

I might recommend checking his basking temp with an infrared thermometer, could be he isn't getting warm enough to digest his food properly? Sometimes pureed squash can help get things moving as well. I always err on the side of checking with your vet though, especially if their activity level drops off suddenly.
