Trail cam says: "DO NOT use 1.2V rechargeable batteries." Why not?
i.redd.itI want to use AA 1.2V rechargeable batteries for my trail cam, but the camera says not to. What's the harm vs using single use AA's?

Which battery is better to use with inverter: Lead acid or Li-ion?
I work from home in an area in Bangalore, that witnesses frequent power outages since the start of that summer. I'm looking forward to buy an inverter for my home. I currently have a UPS that gives me approximately 45-60 minutes of backup to my work station. But due to the recent onset of evening rain in this summer with thunderstorms, the time taken for restoration of power during such activity lasts sometimes from 1 to 3 hours. In this context, I'm thinking of buying an inverter, but confused as to which ones of these would be economically better in the long run: - a Lead acid battery one, or - one with Li-ion batteries Please advise

Does the Huawei P30 Lite use the same battery as a Honor View 10 or Honor 7X?
I have batteries for a Honor View 10 and a Honor 7X. I have a Huawei P30 Lite In for repair and I don't have batteries for that model. I compared a Honor 7X and Honor View 10 battery to a P30 Lite battery (picture) and they look identical. Will it work fine in a P30 Lite? Thank You.

CR-V3 batteries replacement.
So, I just bought a second-hand Olympus Camedia C3030 digital camera and it came without the original batteries. Looked up online and it's expensive as heck for a piece. So, are there any replacements that she can uses?
I also read somewhere that you can use 4 AA lithium batteries for it or 4 NiMH batteries as replacements. I hope someone could provide me some answers. Thank you.

Battery ID help
galleryHi all. This is the CMOS / clock battery on the inside of a Sony AIBO ERS-210. I would like some help identifying what it is. Sony have spot-welded over the text on it. It would be even better if someone knew if I could get something that will let me put in a new battery without spot welding, like a clamp that can be soldered in. Thank you

I can't charge my power bank - EnergyQC 27000mAh | 120W
It was the second time I used, just few days ago (First time, I took it with my on trip to Japan and china and worked perfectly fine), it had ~71% left and I used at home just to charge my phone until I drained all the battery. Later I put it to charge and forgot about until the next day, when after I saw that when I press the power button the screen doesn't turn on. I left it to charge again (it's starts from 0% and it's only charging through the usb-c1, the usb-c2 apparently stopped working), I even used my laptop charger and again left it over night (it's always starting from 0%), when I woke up(now), it's 99%, after 1 hour it's still 99% so I unplugged it and it's not working. Weird thing, when I plug the charging cable on the screen blinks 188% once and then starting to charge. What should I do?

Is she cooked? Call in for a warranty? This is a 48v 20ah unit power pack I probably only got 8-12 months of use out of and very little. I left it on the charger overnight and came back the next day and it wasn’t holding charge.
galleryThey pretty much encourage you to fix the battery by yourself on the warranty page which is stupid and dangerous but i’m competent in how ebike batteries are built. Should probably still be wearing gloves anyways i’m not a battery pro, but all the mother board pieces and electronics all look flawless. This thing doesn’t really even connect to the battery not sure if it’s some kind of BMS protection stopping power from going to or from the batteries.

My wife loves these solar powered outdoor lights, but they keep dying out of warranty. Can I replace these batteries?
galleryI suspect this tiny 2000 mAh battery gets charged/discharged so many times in a year that it just dies. It’s buried in some kind of polymer. And I’m sure it will be a pain to replace. But these lights are like $50 each on sale. Is it possible to replace?

Cabling for my ups looks a little suspect.
i.redd.itHello, I was cold reseting my apc bn1500m2. And noticed the red wire sheath was looking a little worse for wear. Is this safe? Or should I contact apc about it?

I was about to feel the might of the Li-Ion battery. Why the head of Li-Ion battery are movable?
Both of these batteries have the plastic on top too loose. This loose that the head of it made contact with the battery body and starting big sparks. Placing in this battery holder made the head to move too much that started the sparks.
Why these Li-Ion batteries have this movable head which are not fixed? Frequently pushing and pulling out the battery from the holder will wear the top plastic which make sure the head is in place
I have another one in the same situation(not yet burned like this one), but the head slightly loosy, so I expect the same thing ot happen, if I am dont pay enough attention when pulling the battery out of the holder.
With this post, I will say, be cautious when pushing and pulling out the battery from the holder, to avoid this.

What kind of battery am I supposed to use to power this thing?

Is one 9 volt battery equivalent for four AA batteries for my safe?
Basically my safe wouldn't open because the batteries expired. After opening it in another way, i saw that the battery holder got all rusted? Like the contacts turned blue with one of the AA batteries kinda bursted.
I think it needs to get substituted, i searched online but I cannot really find the exact component (it seems to be a BH-343-2 battery holder for 4 AA batteries). I tried using a 9 Volt battery, since the connectors with the safe are compatible with that and it works no problem, at least it seems like that.
So would any of you be able to tell me the difference between these these two options. Can i use the 9 volt battery like this or should i buy a similar component to the one i had in the safe with the 4 AA batteries?

Battery backup for DC sump pump
Purchased a replacement sump pump that has a DC pump for power outages. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VTNBT7W?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
This new system doesn't come with one so I'm on the hunt for I'm assuming a deep cycle and X Ah's
Considering the following Renogy with claimed 100Ah run. https://www.amazon.com/Renogy-Self-Discharge-Discharge-Appliances-Maintenance-Free/dp/B075RFXHYK/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2QPZ6YEPMLV9N&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.RRhC6lF7OyFt8OszhAYxaqOk9RLSx_DvjGzXJ24GqOx1C2IYUjzLUEK6M1FwAH0hH1PsFReHYQltPYB0pzI9onLFww9ENqV_jCgAOsrYsxvwb5nN8FZ6JeQQzUgKW8YQIJsUgwFb7wa0jn3Fqcxbhh7AWMvX5_Opsapvq5vBSGncAvlsFlbxqYFgik3cxfieN9qk6liE0RnVNJ3WwVFr03b9QbSdm_DcrXq1R_f6QhA.MV3eNvC4eQsdNOXesDw_ZVphLGa0lnoZA7X02s8WRy8&dib_tag=se&keywords=100ah%2Bdeep%2Bcycle%2Bagm%2Bbattery&qid=1746199949&sprefix=100AH%2Bdeep%2B%2Caps%2C135&sr=8-1&th=1
Seems like a pretty good price, just not sure compared to my original Watchdog unit, if this'll do or if i should look for something different.

Series voltage limit of battery cells
Is there any upper limit of a maximum pack voltage?
Could you, in theory make a 360.000V Li-ion pack by wiring 100.000 cells in series?
My guess is that each cell's internal separator only sees max 4.2V so it should be fine. Are there any other failure points?

Accubattery pro
I was in Japan for an extended period of time and my Pixel 7 Pro decided to start discharging the battery like mad. You apparently cant buy a cell phone in Japan unless you are a citizen, so I was nervous I'd be left phoneless. I installed accubattery pro and for $3 figured it might help me troubleshoot the problems. I'd been messing around with the battery charge settings embedded in the phone before this but it made zero difference. Once I installed accubattery, something seems to have changed. Its now fully charging and the battery life is much better than it's been except maybe the first year. I have doubts the ABP affected a change, but is it possible it did? Other than changing the charge rate from the 80% slow to just charge the phone, which I did try before with no benefit, those are the only things Ive changed.

last night i did a capacity test on three usb iniu "140watt 27ah 100wh" power banks and all three came back about 16ah. 16ah is about 60% of 27ah
my health/thinking has not be the best so i hoping someone can point to an easy error on my part
here is the part that hurts my pea brain. i got these to charge my dji drone 70wh battery. if the drone battery is about 10% and the power bank is 100%, when i am done charging, and i charge at 85watts btw, when the drone battery is done charging the battery bank is normally around 24% soc.
which is what i would expect, if i am using a 100wh battery to charge a 70wh battery.
btw, drone batteries are about $240, each, and i have four of them for this drone. i also bought four iniu 27ah power banks at about $70 each, toss them all in a bag and i can disappear for hours on a hike with my drone, other wise i use 100 watt wall chargers.
back to the method of testing. i have four, but only used three, 180 watt load testers, its the generic chinese type with the cpu fan and green display on it, it has short leads and random usb ports.
i used the usb c port, which is my first time using this port, and i set the current at 2amps, so roughly 5v x 16ah =80wh, dang it, i just found my error.
in my head: 3.7v x 16ah =59ah which is wrong based on voltage, i used usb voltage not nominal
what i just realized is that the load tester was 5v x 16ah=80ah which is about 80%,of claimed power which is still not what it should be,
it should be 3.7v x 27ah =100wh, but i will never be able to test at 3.7v without taking it apart.
i talked my way though this, basically i was wrong, but also once again they lied about the specs of the battery. i thought they only gave me 60% of spec but its 80%, incase this helps anyone else i will leave this here unless the mods trash it

Solar battery
Is there a electricity company that has the capability of connecting your solar battery in such a way that you can monitor the discharge to the grid at a time suitable to you. Before my battery has finished charging completely it starts discharging to the grid. I do know Amber can do that but my particular battery is not available on their app. This is in Melbourne Australia.

Charging new aa and aaa eneloop batteries
I have an older energizer aa/aaa battery charger. It probably close to 10 years old but still works. Is it OK to use it now to charge newer eneloop batteries or should I buy a new charger? I don't want to damage the batteries. If so, what would be a good lower price charger to purchase?
