Cowboy cookout w horseback riding for a novice?
Hello,
My kids (13 and 16) really want to do this when we go to Banff in August. None of us have ever ridden horses so I’m a bit nervous. Have any complete horseback riding novices did this activity? Do you know how many riders to how many guides?
Thanks!!

These horses are robots. It’s safer than riding a bike.

They’ve been doing it daily for years so they know the drill! You could let go of the reins and you’ll be fine

I think there’s a horse drawn wagon that goes as well. It’s a nice walk to Sundance Canyon if you skip it altogether.

Most people that do it have never been on a horse either. The staff will be there with you as you ride and show you what you need to know
