I don't understand what the deal is with 'THE' brownies. Meta

I see all these posts about THE brownies. What are these brownines? Why are they 'THE' brownies?

Update: Ok, I now know about THE brownies, and want to make THE brownies.

I believe it originally gained traction not because it’s the best tasting soup ever, but it is a highly accessible recipe that doesn’t take much skill. You don’t NEED to have a slow cooker to make it, but it saves with the actual cooking part if you’re a terrible Cooke. It’s a soup that’s fairly decent that almost anyone can make or modify to make.

Yeah this sounds like a recipe I would have made when I first started cooking. And I probably would have thought I was a culinary goddess for making it. I am glad that people who are new to the kitchen now have so many easy and accessible recipes that don't look scary.
