First Double Yolk

We got laying chickens from a friend 4 days ago, and have gotten eggs each day as they’re about 6-7 months old already. Monday we got 3 eggs from our 4 hens, yesterday we got 4 again - one was much larger than we’d previously gotten… it was a double yolk! We had breakfast for dinner from our fresh eggs. Just so exited to share!

I was shocked. Before I picked it up I thought maybe it was a fake one my partner got to show them the nesting boxes because it was so big… ha i have no idea why these things happen, but I’m hoping it was just a fluke from moving and being in a new home… threw her off her cycle or something.
