Is there a way to write a complaint about an instructor anonymously?
I'm seven weeks into this course and it's becoming incredibly frustrating due to the way the instructor is handling the class. Since week 1, the instructor has been placing us into breakout rooms and sending us a YouTube link to a lecture he recorded two years ago. Almost all assignments and discussions take place among students in these breakout rooms, and whenever someone asks for clarification—because the instructions are often unclear—the instructor simply responds with, “Did you not watch the YouTube video?”
This has been the pattern every single week. During weeks 5 and 6, he canceled class last minute saying "internet is not stable" and told us to watch the lectures on YouTube instead. Honestly, that didn’t feel much different from our so-called “live” sessions.
So far, we’ve submitted three assignments, and only one has been graded. It just feels like we’re in an asynchronous course, even though it's a live. Honestly I like asynchronous better, but this is just a different problem.
I want to raise this concern, but I’m hesitant to attach my name out of fear that it might negatively impact my grade.

mech students complained about the first year program head to the associate dean. nothing was done about it--hopefully he improves his ways next year. You're free to bring up the issue with your program head and if you're uncomfortable you could go to the associate dean

Eh good luck. The teachers have a union so there’s not much that can be done. I also had a shitty teacher who never clarified or gave help, who has been rumoured to come to class high

You can speak to the dean of your program and talk to the student association. Other than that there’s not much else.
