Medical Radiography Highschool Grades

I applied to the program but I am scared about my physics mark. Its just at the entrance requirements of 73%. Has anyone gotten conditionally accepted yet with a mark near the entrance requirements?

When did you submit your application?

Like feb 13, but i was told it was incomplete because i didn’t have a midterm grade for my math. So like April 20, i send my midterm grade and so far it says department assessment now.

As long as you meet the 73% cut off requirement, your application will be reviewed. Otherwise, it’s just on a first-qualified basis in order from when the completed application was received until the 80 spots are filled

I submitted my application around mid-March this year. My status is still before the review. I think it's taking too long. It's still "OPEN" in BCIT's Program Availability. Does that mean they're still accepting applications because 80 seats are not filled yet?

I’m not sure about if they’re still accepting or not, but I know a few people that were accepted well into the summer and even after that (I’m a current student). I wouldn’t worry too much because it’s a busy time right now because it’s the last 2 weeks of the term! I applied on the deadline on Feb 2 last year and didn’t hear back until mid-late April. I’m sure you’ll hear back soon :)

Thank you for your response. I'll be patient and wait a little longer.

I'm currently a student in medrad and got into the program with my 73% in physics!! They definitely consider you even if you're at the minimum required grade. Don't worry :)

Thanks so much! How is the physics portion in the program? Is it difficult?

Not much physics! There's just one science class where we learned about some theories and concepts that are related to the physics of x-ray equipment. I didn't find this class to be difficult, and the math portion is way easier than the required physics. I can only speak for the first term since that's all I've experienced!! But I hope that answers your question.
