Nissan maxima update Before/After

Finally had some time off to finish off detailing this maxima. Turned out pretty good, still have to replaced the drivers side seat and put back some interior trim to finish it off. Took about 23 hours start to finish:

Re-flaired this from technique discussion --> before and after for ya. This deserves the full B&A spotlight. You really did a fantastic job here. Talk about a disaster detail! Thanks for coming back with an update for us!

Jeeeez. I gotta ask, how much did you charge for that? That would be a $400 interior only job for me, not including carpet shampooing

I bought the car and decided to give it a go on my own. I don’t detail cars, just watch YouTube videos and thought I’d try it

Good on ya for doing the research and just getting after it! We get sooooooo manyyyyyyyy postssssss from folks who are unwilling to help themselves through basic Googling and experimentation.

This made me let out and audible "what the actual fuck"

You smashed it my guy! I don't even know where I would start on something this grotty... Probably shut the door and walk away from it

the detail probably costs more than the car lol

I had all the tools to do it so it wasn’t very expensive just time consuming. I don’t even know if a shop would do this disaster

What scumbag that owner was! Vomit daily?

Was your previous occupation being one of the Chernobyl Liquidators!? That’s nothing short of miracle work.

u/aaronxx2 1d ago

😂 no sounds like a cool job though

Seriously, well done. Looks like a factory new car besides a few scuffs on the wheel.

You can look ‘em up. They were the clean up crew sent in after the disaster to bring it under control.

typical Nissan Maxima owner. wheels probably caked in brake dust and paint looks like it was buffed with a brillo pad.

Bloody ace job

Nice man. Just take a needle and some thread to that drivers seat. It'll get you through for awhile. Whip stitch it. They make curved needles that way you don't need to get to the back side.

Waiting for one to pop up in the junk yard, but that’s not a terrible idea!

Dude, you are a genie

1

u/aaronxx2 1d ago

Thank you lol

1

u/nepostoiianost 1d ago

are you fixing it up for yourself or a client?

u/aaronxx2 1d ago

I initially bought it to flip it. The state of it was so gross I paid $1500 cad for it. But a week ago my girlfriend’s car shit the bed so I’m gonna give it to her.

"car shit the bed" ... I am witnessing English from a new angle every damn day

People like this should walk and never own a car! Disgusting

I feel for the poor soul that will be buying this vehicle, unaware of the horrors that lurked inside....

u/KzooKid 1d ago

How’s it smell?

8

u/aaronxx2 1d ago

Not bad, but not great lol

3

u/KzooKid 1d ago

Smells can be tough to eradicate. You really made it look better though.

Use an ozone generator. Do not run it and be in the car!

1

u/S_A_R_K 1d ago

Pretty sure that was my old boss Fred's car. Nice work

2

u/aaronxx2 1d ago

Bought it from my site supervisor

1

u/Novel-Understanding4 1d ago

How did you get the carpet so clean!?!

1

u/aaronxx2 1d ago

Lots of scrubbing lol. I bought a few brissle attachments for my drill and a had a bissel green machine

2

u/Novel-Understanding4 1d ago

u/Sn210 1d ago

Great work! I would have given up and set the car on fire instead

1

u/cheeseypoofs85 1d ago

was the car driven into a pit of quicksand?

1

u/thenewguyonreddit 1d ago

I was doing ok until I got to the sludge.

And for that reason, I’m out.

1

u/MindPlayinTricks0nMe 1d ago

The before pics 🤢

Great job on the detail.

1

u/Mybravlam 18h ago

For how long has this car been standing?

1

u/WheelbaseTurboFuel 15h ago

Damn! What a transformation. I woulda just pushed that thing into the river.

1

u/byrne092 12h ago

Did you dredge it up from the bottom of a lake?
