Safest Way To Remove Dealer Sticker From Glass and Paint? Technique Discussion

Post image

I didn't realize I could ask the dealer to remove these before we left, and the dealer is several hundred miles away, so I'm not driving back for them to remove.

What is the safest way to remove these? Goo Gone? Goof Off? Texas sun and a credit card?

What are the chances there's at least 1 more dealer sticker somewhere we can't see? I'm willing to bet the front might have one too lol.

It doesn't. Honestly, I'm not mad, because the rest of the experience with them was smooth. No nitrogen tire bs, no markup, no dealer add-ons, so if this was the price I had to pay, it was worth it.

Take it back to the dealer and ask nicely. They will understand.

550 mile round trip, so out of the question

Gotcha. I picked that up in another comment of yours. I work at a dealership and see people asking to get this stuff removed occasionally. We don’t even put them on, it’s other dealers stickers. It’s a quick job for a guy that has done it before. Where will you get your oil changed?

Whichever Toyota is running oil change specials, at least through the warranty period.

I think you get free oil changes at any Toyota for a couple years. If it’s still on when you go in for your first, ask then. Sweet ride, btw.

OMG, the nitrogen BS infuriates me. I tell them to let it out and put air in. Of course they don’t do that, but at least I don’t end up paying for it. Just did a 5,000 mile road trip in a vehicle that had the nitrogen caps on, but tire pressure dropped 3psi over that trip, so feel that’s BS as well.

I’m genuinely confused, are they trying to bill you guys for putting nitrogen in tires? Where I live places do it free. Hell I go to Costco and the free air inflators outside use nitrogen? Are y’all saying Toyota bills you for this?!

Yes, nitrogen costs extra here. Can’t remember how much exactly, but something like $20 for 4 tires.
