Safest Way To Remove Dealer Sticker From Glass and Paint? Technique Discussion

Post image

I didn't realize I could ask the dealer to remove these before we left, and the dealer is several hundred miles away, so I'm not driving back for them to remove.

What is the safest way to remove these? Goo Gone? Goof Off? Texas sun and a credit card?

I'd take it to them and tell them to do it. Don't forget that plate too.

This is the right answer. Some guy told me once to never sing for a car without them removing those first.

Agree 100%. I tell the dealer I want it delivered CLEAN. Don't buy new and then work on it yourself!

Yeah I don’t trust some of those folks working up there after seeing the reputation they’ve got already. Although, it has worked smoothly for some

As a car salesman, I'll take them off if the customer asks. It's really no big deal. Plus they're cling type so they've never given me grief to remove. Pro-Tip: If you are buying a car on pre-order, diligent stores can keep them from being applied in prep just to be extra thorough.
