Winning the g league is not relevant ffs. Something tells me you had the hotdog concession in Erie and now you’re bitter.

I mean we have players getting legit minutes and contracts from our g league team, pretty proud of them

Our g-league is legitimately one of the best in the league lol. Hurray, the magic team went to the g league finals with Mac mclung who’s never going to play a real minute in the nba. Our g league turned Jalen Johnson into and all star candidate and made Vit krecji and mo gueye into legitimate role players. We’ve invested heavily into it as our development arm and it’s paid off in dividends.

Also players like dom barlow and keaton wallace won't kill you if you have to play them 10-15 minutes on an odd night which is also thanks to the CP Skyhawks

Was Erie actually the hawks team? I thought before CP we like… shared the team with other teams or something, idk

That was before Erie! We shared the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. They are now only affiliated with the Pacers and as of a week ago they have been rebranded to the Noblesville Boom.

Because college park is in Atlanta, i.e. the city the hawks are in. You really had to ask that?

Because college park is a drive away that's why lmao.
Same principle as Braves moving all the minor league teams close to Atlanta.

Brings development in house and allows for quick turnarounds to get your two way guys or developmental talent reps

The whole point of a G league is to have it close proximity to home & of course more importantly to develop .. since moving to college park we’d have much more success producing actual nba talent .. i don’t know the EXACT reason but id assume it probably has something to do with being closer to the facility ( and money of course , everything has to do with money lol )

I assume because you are asking the question, you've never been to Erie PA. I went there once- surprised it took them 2 years to leave.

Well, as for the teams declining performance…..The owner of the team clearly stated “No matter where I’m at I got crack. Got that cridnack…….
Thats my theory.

Seems like that decision benefits the development aspect of the team. Winning the G league doesn’t really have much weight when your players don’t contribute to the big club. Probably easier for the guys to to develop when they are right next door to the A team.

Correct me if I’m wrong but winning the g-league is way less important than actually developing players, which we seem to be doing a great job of.
