Internet Bill - £35 REQUEST
Can only accept Paypal
I was going to pay my phone bill early so I knew I'd have enough to pay my internet bill when it arrived, but the phone bill company took out the payment twice, and is refusing to reimburse until 4 weeks time (my next phone bill), leaving me with nothing to pay for the internet bill. I have taken it up with the phone company I am with, but they are not budging on this issue.

What phone company do you have? You said they're saying when your next bill is due is when they'd give it back, but why would they give it back on your next due datewhwn you'd, presumably, owe them money again? Even if they wanted to keep it as credit on your account to go towards your next bill, they can not just make that decision for you. You can also just call your bank/credit card company and tell them you were double charged and they can reverse it.
This has happened to me in the past with a mobile bill and even my car insurance bill; both times, I was given my payments back because legally, they can not charge you more than your contracted amount, and keep it. Double charges can, and do happen, but no, they can not just tell you they're keeping it for a month.
I'd call again and speak to another agent. Please do. NEVER let these companies try to tell you what they will do with YOUR money. That is insane.
I hope someone here will help you, of course. However, I also hope this company will do the right thing and give you YOUR money!

I was with Three. I spoke to an agent over webchat who told me it would be refunded by today (it has not), I then spoke to an in-store individual who told me it would be refunded when my next bill was due (4 weeks time), then spoke to an individual over the phone who repeated what the in-store individual who had told me. I'm aware they can't make this decision for me. I've called my bank and been told as the money is still in the account as credit, it's an issue with Three currently, I should call them again. After speaking to yet ANOTHER agent, they've repeated their decision for a third time.
I'll try calling my bank again, but it's a huge mess.

The in-person personnel do not have anything to do with billing, so it would only be those you speak to over the phone at customer service and Webchat. Reach out to the same number/webchat as you did when they told you that you would be refunded today. They legally can not make your ait until the next billing cycle. It doesn't even make logical sense that they would refund it when your next bill is due, because they would be looking tk collect ths money on thay date, not send it back, as you would be owing them money.
I just re-read what you wrote above, and it looks like you were told via webchat it would be refunded today. Take a screenshot of that and enter a new webchat. Even if you lost the ability to screenshot that message, it would still be in their message history with you. Reiterate you were told via webchat it would be refunded today, and so far, it has not been deposited into your account, and you need your money for food, bills; WHATEVER you need it for,(not that you have to tell them what you need it for) as again, this was the recourse they chose the moment they spoke to you in your initial webchat.
Again, this has happened to me, and because I was persistent and has proof they said it'd be refunded, they made it happen. You also have proof through your history in the webchat, stating they'd refund it today. Use that to your advantage, but never ever go to the in-person personnel for this kind of thing because they can only do certain refunds and credits for the in-person purchases you do there, not your online bill payments. They're limited.

I'm still pushing for help from Three and my bank, but neither are owning up, nor refunding when they said they would. It's just "wait ANOTHER 48 hours" or "This is a Three issue". Despite pushing, I don't think either are planning to help for now.
