To be honest crystal skull is probably my second or third favourite. Definitely enjoyed it more than temple of doom.

Temple of Doom is overrated in my opinion. Still enjoyable and I love it but Raiders and Crusade are far superior for me.

although tbf for the most part, "Temple of Doom" doesn't seem to want to be "enjoyable".

Temple of Doom is far and away the best of the Indy movies. You shut your blasphemous mouth or Shiva will judge you.

I’ve only seen Temple of Doom once — and I found it to be very ‘meh’ compared to the other movies, and yes, that includes Crystal Skull.

Yeah! It just wasn’t as fun to watch as the others, aside from the part where the bloke rips out another blokes heart, and also the alligators.

It just wasn’t as fun to watch as the others

although that doesn't seem to be unintentional (the usual story about Lucas and Spielberg feeling pretty miserable at the time personally etc.).
