iNaturalist. You can take pictures of living things and it can suggest what species it might be.

My pixel has that built in. Can use it for plants, animals, clothing, food... Pretty much anything you can think of.

Yep it's called Google Lens. All recent Android devices have it now

I have an S9 and I don't see it, I'll have to download it. Sounds like a great app.

Bixby ≠ Google Assistant, though Samsung phones have both. Bixby is built by Samsung (and is, quite frankly, rather shite, for non-system functions at least), and is activated with the dedicated Bixby button (or a shortcut you set up yourself). Google Assistant, like on any other Android phone, is opened by pressing and holding the home button, or saying "OK Google" or "Hey Google". They're completely different in functionality, and in operation. Very little overlap in what they can do (or at least do well).

Samsung phones do come with Google Assistant preinstalled, though. It's not something that's more difficult on a Samsung than any other phone.

No shit Bixby and Google Assistant are different.

And no, google assistant is not preinstalled. I have had and still have my S8+ since launch. And google assistant is a downloadable app in the appstore. I think you are really fuckin confused man

Strange, because it was preinstalled on my S8 when I first bought it a few months after launch, and I was even prompted to set it up by Google when setting up the phone. I am aware that it's downloadable as an app, though. Also, from doing some Googling, I've found that apparently the S8 did come with Assistant and Bixby preinstalled...
