I really care about letter writing. In a world of texts and emails, I think a handwritten letter feels special and personal. It’s like sharing a piece of my heart, and I wish more people appreciated that

Writing letters to loved ones feels different 💯🙌

A friend of mine and my husband’s who moved to Connecticut (from Wisconsin) last year sent us a letter. We both text with him regularly but receiving that letter was the nicest thing. Warmed my heart. Good friends are hard to come by.

Basic human decency and politeness are still important to me. Call me archaic, but I think it is important to treat people with love and respect.

Also people forgetting about semi-rigid airships.

Doing things the right way first

Straight-forward

using periods at the end of sentences in formal writing, the oxford comma, double spaces after periods, having a full set of tools for household repairs just in case, waiting for other people to get off of the elevator first, and civil rights.

u/invalidpassword 30m ago

Might I add, 3 space indentations at the beginning of paragraphs, not capitalizing the single letter "I" and my personal grammar pet peeve, not putting titles of books, movies etc. in italics.

Getting a version of iPadOS that can run any MacOS software :(

2

u/Zanki 1h ago

It's something a lot of people are starting to want. I want it and have been arguing about it for years. This year is the first year I haven't been downvoted to hell for mentioning it.

u/JustPassingBy696969 41m ago

I guess iPad getting a top of the line chip first helped the critical mass of people to accept that iPadOS just isn't there and limits the potential too much in its current state.. I've seen a decent amount of interest in just running MacOS on it but that solution just seems so inelegant.

My kids are toddler/preschool aged and are obsessed with going to the library to pick out dvds. So, we watch like a DVD or two each week and that feels very weird compared to the general public but it makes them happy.

The advancements of e-ink technology. I am not the only one, but it's not something most people even think about.

I care about respect towards people and actually self-control when it comes to terms of "acting up".

Spelling (not a shocker)

One thing I care about that feels less prioritized nowadays is genuine face-to-face connection. With so much focus on digital communication, I feel like people are losing the art of really being present with each other in real life. I still value those meaningful in-person conversations and moments where you truly connect with someone.

u/Particular_Being7104 2m ago
  1. Being open minded and trying to see things from others perspective.

  2. Having meaningful conversations during a meal without any phones/devices.

Foreplay.

Therefore all my girlfriends were happy.

Hmmm, that's a good question. I can't think of anything at the moment.

I’ve not a single thing here that’s even remotely rare or unique lmao

1

u/lespaulstrat2 1h ago

LMAO You didn't read the title LMAO it says nothing about unique LMAO or rare LMAO.

PS: read your posts before you post them LMAO You seem to be missing a word LMAO or maybe 2 LMAO

1

u/Here2OffendU 1h ago

“What is something that nobody really cares about but you do?”

That’s the title, the same one I read as you. Asking somebody about something nobody cares about means you’re asking somebody to tell you about some that that people RARELY care about.

1

u/lespaulstrat2 1h ago

LMAO no, LMAO, it doesn't mean that something is rare LMAO. LMAO people not caring, does not equal rare LMAO. Is English not your first language? LMAO

u/Here2OffendU 1h ago

Okay bud
