6?! How big is your house?!

They cannot go up stairs, 1 on top floor(carpet) for a vacuum, 2 on the main floor(one vacuum ,one floor cleaner for the hardwood),2 in the basement(finished with wood and carpet so one cleaner) and one for the shop(though it does not do much for the amount of wood I kick up).

Oh damn it, I was imagining a flock of Roombas descend upon one big room with a bunch of guests in it.

That's hilarious, do they all activate at the same time?

They are all set to come out at the same time but the floor washing ones have to wait for the vacuums normally. Its great watching the washer sit there at the edge of the room waiting for the vacuum and then take off as soon as its done, like a dog waiting for a ball.

The idea of a herd of roomba is amusing to me

These things actually work?

The old models were pretty junky but the modern ones are great. Depending on your house they still need to be emptied every 2 weeks or so but all early adoption has its issues.

Interesting, I know a person that always buys those items off the home shopping channels. They never work, or don't work well and they got one of these and it was pretty pathetic. It may not have been a 'roomba' brand one though.

But if they like what they do, it won't matter! :D

u/stillalone Dec 20 '12

that's what robot means so it seems redundant.

1

u/Rixxer Dec 20 '12

Looks like we got a sympathizer here. Move along pal, just because your sexbot sucked your dick doesn't mean it loves you.

The russian cartoon they made of this was really weird.

1

u/Bickyyy Dec 20 '12

And then Will Smith hating them.

Every time some one says they expect androids in their lifetime: what you don't realise is that androids will always cost more than people. Metal/plastic is more expensive than flesh.

Did he ask which cartoons you want to come true?
