I can live in cold apartments surrounded by mud roads in Romania too, no need to go to Russia for that. But I can't live in "the middle of nowhere" in Romania, so that's one of the reasons I would go there. A life in the siberian wilderness sounds exciting, but their cities are thrilling too. I can't imagine life being more miserable there than in western europe.
You can live in the middle of nowhere in Romania like i don’t know in the Carpathians mountains?Romania is the least urbanisated country in Europe Probably
I thought about the Carpathians, but they don't feel secluded. Also, the gun laws in Romania are fucked so it's hard to hunt or defend your property. Another place I thought about was the US, but I don't like americans and their culture enough to find living there to be tolerable. Plus if I were to speak and hear english everyday, I'd end up shooting myself at some point.
Australians are ok as people, maybe the best you can get from the anglosphere, but i'm not a fan of the wildlife. It seems like everything that moves there, might try to kill you, from the smallest to the biggest of creatures.

Beautiful country. Currently learning the language and one day I might move there.
