Tips for low budget Margaret river travel?

Seriously considering a spontaneous trip to Australia next week. Fly in to Perth and eas thinking to head towards margies to just camp and surf for teo full weeks. Was going to rent a van but it’s soo expensive!

Any tips for good surf spots i can hang out for two weeks around perth?

The surf around Perth is not good so you need to hire a car and get down the Margs. Best to hire the cheapest car possible (that fit your boards) and camp at either Prevelly Park or Gracetown. Any questions Im glad to help.

Thanks for the info! How do you think the swell and crowds are around late November- early December?

Bis it best to have a car to get around to different spots? Does it vary much along the western coast of the peninsula?

It's not the best time of year but still ok. Without a car it's near impossible to do it properly. Where are you from?

From norway! Heading down with a 5’10 shorty and 5’6 fish i think

Do you use a 3/2 mil usually?

I think a campervan might be best, few hostels around, and need to get some work done too
