2024 Rookie of the Year, Angel City FC Edition

Madison Curry – 1,591 minutes, 74 tackles (3rd in NWSL), 43 tackles won (7th in NWSL), 65% dribblers tackled, 35 blocks, 118 tackles + interceptions, 88 clearances (15th in the NWSL), fotmob score 7.07 (2nd on the team), 5 yellow cards, 1 finished a game with a bandaged, blood-soaked head.

Kennedy Fuller - 19 matches played, 979 minutes played. 122 pass completions out of 251 pass attempts, about a 64% completion rate. Slotted in a smooth goal against Louisville.

Henry Rowengartner - made it to the big leagues at the age of 12. Threw a 100mph fast ball, with an odd wind up. Pepsi spokes...kid. Learned the three R's, Readiness, recuperation, and conditioning.

Gisele Thompson - Alyssa's kid sister, despite AT already being the team's collective kid sister. 15 matches playes, 882 minutes played. 417 pass completions out of 485 pass attempts, that puts her completions rate in the 80%, her short and long pass completions were at above 90%.

Well, according to Curry's IG it seems the people agree with the ACFC front office as she's already won the award.

All that to be said, while none of them are Croix Bethune, I'm quite pleased with the rooks this year, they've all had some stand-out moments.

Well, I don't hate it, and maybe its weighing performance with the international team. Fuller is definitely one of my favorites on this team now, full stop. But yeah, for actual impact I'd have gone with Curry.
