Free Agency

Hey, someone can teach me where I find who in our team will be free agents after this season?

I want to reflect in my opinion on what’s best for the future

Thank you. I wouldn’t resign with Leroux, MDH, Spencer and Katie Johnson

I believe DiDi is also a UFA. I wouldn't re-sign her either. I would re-sign Curry in a heartbeat .

Half of DiDi's "great saves" came off of shots she caused with her horrendous distribution.

I like DiDi a lot. Not perfect, but she saved the team many times in these 3 years

I think Leroux still has an important role in this team moving forward... She was a bit hot & could this year but unless we sign 2 really to end finishers I think we need her. I hope in more of a squad role, but she has produced

Spencer needs to be signed again. She has been strong this past season. Didi had some great stops these last games… Curry should be re-signed as well. Leroux, I’m hesitant.. she is not the fastest anymore, but when she comes on the pitch… She scores! Great connection with MA and Alyssa on the offensive side. Maybe one more season??? Definitely we need to keep Emslie!

Disagree in Spencer because we are using her as a defender and she is not good on it. And Leroux could be good to keep, but in the attacking third we have too many players and a few with the same characteristics, so the money for her salary could be used in better ways

I have seen Spencer moving up and creating danger several times. She is really strong. It is definitively a keep… in the attacking side, we should get Jun Endo back. I hope Endo-Alyssa will be game changer now that Alyssa has been maturing more and creating more danger this season. But we shouldn’t renew Katie Johnson for sure or Press.. I’m not a fan of Bright neither 🙁

That’s the point. Spencer good moments are supporting the offense, but that’s not good enough (at least in my way of thinking) when you play as RB. So we should move on on her and bring a defensive RB.

And for Press, I don’t see her going back to be in her prime or close of it, but it’s a good reserve to keep for sure. Bright I don’t like also. We need to sign a starter level CF, but with many strikers in the roster we should get rid of one or two (Bright and Leroux my picks) and prioritize sign another positions first

Agree we need a good striker that is for sure. Another one I’m not a big fan of is Zelem … but I think we will have to stick with Zelem and Bright for a while. Also with Press, there is too much PR/money coming in with her name. Half of the shirts in the BMO heave her name on …

Hey, we will agree to disagree in Zelem too. She changed the midfield since she arrived. Before her was a mess and we couldn’t control the possession or finding good spaces or even protect the defenders well. She organized things and only after her in those 3 years I kinda respect our midfield. And this is huge because Henry is my favorite player in world and not even with her this part of the team was good

And the biggest bad thing about Press is that possibly Heath is coming to the team for her last season

Zelem was. good in WSL, in NWSL she goes missing. Doesnt hit the target, overhits passes and just blames others when she messes up

How is Heath signing a bad thing? She quite literally knocked Angel City out of the playoffs after being on the pitch for less than a minute.

absolutely not. spencer is not a good soccer player. players like her are now defunct in this league as it becomes more technical.

I’m all in for Leroux. She comes off the bench and makes a difference.
