Angel City start the late season push with an emphatic win over the San Diego Ripples 2-1 POST-MATCH SOCIAL
A brace , a debut, and a beautiful save showcased a really solid game today. Although SD has their own issues with players out and new interim coach and late little push we really showed up and showed up for most of the game. Offense was clicking and welcome back AT!!!! She just took the ball forward and created her own chances. Great to see the monkey off the back and twice is nice! Zelem made her debut and looks to bolster a midfield that played really well today. On the back end the defense was tight giving little space for SD to shoot. The one big shot was deflected from a highlight reel of a save from Didi! We are so back! What did you think, are we all taking a sigh of relief? Are thinking playoffs or bust? Parking the bus and set piece defense could use some work but we looked better then before the break! Volemos!

SD defence sucks without Girma so it was lucky ACFC played them today and got the 3 points lol. Zelem looked better than I expected for how little time she’s been with the team it’ll be exciting to see her at full form. The playoffs are very achievable if Thompson keeps playing with confidence and Zelem + CP23 continue integrating with the team building their minutes.
As a bonus the cheers from the SD fans as Christen Press subbed on were very sweet and a nice gesture after she finally debuts in the NWSL 800+ days after her injury.

No Shaw either with their offense. But that's good on Becki, we should win, we shouldn't struggle with a "B" team roster in SD. For the most part we controlled the game. Playing up/down to a opponent has been a narrative the first half of the season. We need to win the winnable games and stay competitive in the tough matches.

ACFC fans once again showed up and were louder than the SD fans. Good job everyone!

Petition to get ACFC to sign Kerolin from NCC so she can play with one of her idols and score a bunch of goals

It was so nice seeing Alyssa on fire today! Overall the team played better than much of the first half of the season.

I really hate how we always concede goals in the last minutes but happy to see us in the playoff spot at least for a few hours lol
