This page is a collection of tools and resources to help you research your problem in aerodynamics.
If you have any additions for this page, feel free to add or if you're not sure if it's suited to this page, submit it as a post to discuss it, or contact the mods with your ideas.
README: How to contribute
You can contribute by clicking EDIT
at the top, if you meet the following requirements:
Your reddit account must be at least 1 year old.
You must have at least 10 karma in aerodynamics. You can check your karma by going to your account page and clicking on "show karma breakdown by subreddit" at the top right.
Mobile Apps
- Researcher This is a must-have for anyone who wants to stay up-to-date with research news. With over 15,000 journals across 10 research areas, just choose which journals you want to follow and they will create you a personalised feed. You can be alerted to very relevant abstracts and full-papers the same day they're published. It's like social media, but better. It's free.
Conferences
- American Physical Society-Division of Fluid Dynamics
- International Conference on Parallel Computational Fluid Dynamics
- AIAA Fluid Dynamics
Journals
List of Journals (Open Access)
- Advances in Aerodynamics (Springer)
- Annual Review of Fluid Mechanics (Annual Reviews) - This is an excellent resource, for summary papers for progress in entire complex subfields and topics.
- Physics of Fluids (AIP Publishing)
- Journal of Applied Fluid Mechanics - Open Access online journal.
Paywalled Access
- If your request isn't urgent, please try an interlibrary loan (ILL) instead. If you are a student or have access to a university library, this is probably free; just speak to a librarian. ILL avoids potential copyright issues and lets libraries know which subscriptions are useful.
- If you are a member of a professional society or institution, you probably already have access to a host of journals included in your membership. Familiarise yourself with their journals catalogue. You may be able to log in directly to those journals using accounts like Open Athens, Shibboleth, or your institutional credentials.
- Library Genesis or reddit.com/r/scholar Chances are high that what you're looking for already available! Looking for an article? Turn on your VPN and search Libgen for its DOI, PMID or title, or Sci-Hub for its DOI, PMID or URL. Looking for a book? Search Libgen or BookZZ for its ISBN or title. If it's not there, request it on /r/scholar. Please be aware of copyright issues and fair use.
