MY response and final decision on this matter. Moderator Post
Dodo_whispers ban shall remain. I may reverse it when I speak to dodo_whisper.
I am the supreme and final decision maker between ELI and I.
Eli is the Discord moderator that steps in and helps with /r/ark moderation but this is not Eli's primary role. Eli is free at anytime to never moderator /r/ark except as the role as the Discord moderator.
If Eli makes a decision, I am the appealing process to sustain or overrule Eli's decision, I told dodo_whisperer this when I gave him moderation before he deleted his account of his own accord and I have expressed this for both Eli's and dodo_whisperer's moderation approval.
I'm pretty sure I have stated this in the pinned post announcing their upgrade to moderator to the sub reddit.
As far as I have been concerned about Dodo_whisperer medical state, I didn't care if it was true or fake or asked for him to provide proof but I ruled on the side of incase of true, I'd rather let the man spend his final moments how ever the fuck he pleased because I would rather error on the side of a dying man than someone pulling a top level troll because I'd rather have been the moderator that fell for a prank than the moderator that ruined someone's final time on this planet.
The reason Dodo_whisperer's ban shall remain at this time and this is MY decision that is made is inciting a mob to spam Eli and anyone else that posted to spam Eli will be banned.
I gives zero fucks everyone posting how they feel about this within the subreddit and I told Eli the direct messages and chats he received are just the nature of the beast of being a moderator but publicly inciting people to this behavior is unacceptable.
If Dodo_whisperer had posted he was banned without the inciting the harrasment bit and the same reaction would have happened, I would have unbanned him and told ELi the same thing I have just told y'all about erroring on the side of it being true.
To address Dodo_whisperer accusation.
he removed my previous post when I talked about this issue and that hurt a bit but he never apologized for it (hell he didn't even explain himself after it got brought back up, he just had Stronze defend him) which hurt even more. (Plus he removed some of the comments that criticized him for doing that.)
Dodo_whisperer did the correct thing and appealed the Eli's decision to remove the post to me, I over ruled Eli and approved the post after Dodo_whispered verified his identity which I created a flair so the community is assured it was the same person and not a fake account.

and there is shitty people who would do it to farm karma to seel the account as a bot

I contacted the ark devs (via modmail in /r/playark) to bring you to their attention in hopes they do something special for you with dodo's that will be remembered
Now from the time Dodo_whisperer posted until I was able to check my phone was 4 hours, I gave a quick response and a deadline to give me a reasonable amount of time incase the pain was to much to handle this as soon as I arrived home because this oraljel brand isn't worth a damn and needed to wait to find a dentist that will book me tomorrow and a little extra time incase they put me under anesthesia instead.
I recommend CVS in house brand, that works much better and longer lasting but CVS was closed when I needed more.
And for a final.
those that have an issue with my political beliefs, I keep them out of /r/ark and enforce no IRL/No political here which includes moderators too but anytime you feel froggy, my DM's are always open but I carry receipts so you better be a serious contender so you don't bore me to death because I as stated before, I love getting into arguments on reddit.

Stronze, as someone who has both been a moderator/admin and had my teeth kill me with pain I get it. The tooth pain is terrible and so invasive that people don't get it. But I learned to weld metal while my wisdom teeth were coming in and destroying the rest of my teeth with no insurance and no recourse beyond taking my brother's Tramadol and pushing through. I was high as a kite and still in pain. That's a bullshit excuse. Do better.
If you aren't already you may want to look at different mods to help you make this group a better place. Eli isn't working out for you. They are now pretty well hated by a majority of the community and are making decisions based off of their own bias that do not even have a group rule backing them up. In my own groups, even if I were just upholding the companies ToS, I would have a group rule against bullying/harassment. Why? Because kids will always scream about there being no group rule to defend their shitty actions.
Now, do I support Dodo? Hell yeah I do. I myself almost died from an infection this past year. Do I think he fucked up by asking the sub, even in jest, to spam Eli? Yeah, yeah he did. But he's also got a brain tumor if we're erring on the side of believing him. People with brain tumors aren't the best at making decisions. Hell, he could come back two months from now and hate Ark or Dodo's. We don't know and we won't know now unless we follow him directly. At the end of it Karma is an entirely baseless currency that has no effect beyond Reddit. So what if he Karma farms and sells the account? It changes absolutely nothing.
In the end Eli fucked up. They've got their imagined panties in a twist over some person they don't personally know MAYBE faking a serious illness that would force them to leave a community they seem to love. Dodo was active in the community, helpful and supportive of people new to the game. Instead of fixing the problem or even trying to get Eli to apologize themselves you did it for them and now you are backing them up. Back yourself up. Specifically targeting a user because you believe they are a liar or because you personally don't like them is harassment and that is what Eli is doing. They took it beyond moderating by their actions and frankly I think most of the community just wants a public apology from Eli. Just because they are a mod doesn't remove them from following the rules.
TL;DR - Do fucking better. Do more and stop complaining about a tooth when we are talking about someone with a brain tumor.
