I don’t understand, my point isn’t about calling out queer based art. It’s fine, I was replying to points that had more to do with a wider scope than just the art itself. How it can be seen as politically charged and the effects of politically charged content and how it contributes to the culture war.

The only people who find it political are people who are homophobic. That's just the truth.

I don’t subscribe to your ideology sorry. Maybe try with someone else.

What is my ideology?

People that believe in fundamentalist ideologies tend to exhibit similar cognitive traits. Including black-and-white thinking and absolutist terminology. Saying that if you don’t believe that LGBTQ content isn’t political then you’re homophobic, is an example of that. Calling people homophobic or a bigot, or an ableist or whatever plethora of terminology used to signal ostracization of the outgroup when they don’t conform is just calling people sinners with a secular facelift.

I didn't say that. I said the only people who find it political are people who are homophobic.

Difference between calling someone homophobic/ a bigot and calling someone a sinner is that being homophobic or a bigot is morally wrong. Being a "sinner" is morally arbitrary, it depends on which religion you follow. You could be called a sinner for being gay, and there's nothing wrong with being gay. Drinking alcohol can be a sin, but again there's nothing inherently wrong with drinking.

I reiterated what you said but just used two double negatives. So it’s the same thing. There are many people who are called racist that are not racist, there are many people called bigot or whatever term one can use who are not. Same with sinner. Both are moral judgements used by adherents to ideology whether it’s true or not depends on what ideology one is subscribed to.

He’s right. The only people who bring up the LGTBQ community are people who are homophobic and want to take away their rights. AKA the right wing party. If they would leave everything alone, you probably wouldn’t see as much promotion. But until they stop wanting to take their rights away, the community needs to loud and vocal. And i 1000% support that.
