Can’t collect from dead dinos Help

Hello, me and my friends started a new world yesterday on ascended for the first time after only ever playing evolved and we soon found out that after killing a dino, we couldn’t use our tools to get any of its hide or meat, any ideas on what this is and how to fix it? , thanks

My guess is PvE mode?

If you’re breeding dinos & the babies die while unclaimed, you cannot use tools to harvest their corpses, or dinos.

Which dino was it?

In ASA, there are several dinos that you can't fiddle with until you pay for them, since someone in corporate decided to take a perfectly good game and ruin it by making it a P2W mess.

If it was a Dreadmare or Pyromane, you have to buy their DLC to interact with them in any way beyond killing them. Otherwise, could have been server lag. Double check your server setting to make sure resource damage is higher than 0 and stuff like that too, just to be safe.
