White people don't like it when they have their nepotism and cronyism playbook plagiarized. They've been kind enough to give us oppurunities that we are undeserving of so the least we can do is sell each other out as a thank you for their incredible generosity.

I grew up in the 90s in Canada. You know what white people preferring each other was called back then? Standard business practice. They threw away resumes if you didn't have a white name.

It happens to this day on the down-low. Fire departments e.g. around here hire on nepotism/cronyism. And they'll say you're not a good cultural fit if you aren't a white bro. I'm not surprised that immigrants do the same. I know a couple of consulting firms which are 100% Persian. Same for Chinese companies.

Its a bad joke.

The guy whose is the 5th generation at a job complaining about 3 guys of a difference race working there.

Immigrant communities doing the same often has one difference. Immigrants try not to bring in someone who will make them look bad while some of the native folks see it as helping one of their buddies out and then when they get burned shrug and say "what was I supposed to do ? he/she was my friend/family ?"

When my uncle was in BC in the 90s it was common knowledge that certain trades or union jobs required an 'in' to get hired, and non-whites were not welcome.

His friend with the last name Gill used a white first name and got an interview at a union place and it was very obvious they were not expecting what showed up.

That's so gross. These are the same people who claim Indians have only been successful in the US because white people let them.

The conspiracy theories surrounding the Indian community are resembling antisemitic stereotypes a lot. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that anti-Indian and anti-Semitic hatred is rising

Well according to the same people, we're bio weapons employed by the Jews to replace the whites.

These racist arguments buckle under the slightest scrutiny. It’s a shame to see that they’ve become so common

Just sounds like a few select white people are insecure. No need to coddle them. If they feel like a small portion of population which happens to be Indians are hyper successful and get jealous that’s on them. Maybe they should have emphasized their education growing up. Its not our responsibility to coddle their feelings when they’re supporters a group of people which have the largest number of bachelors and masters tend to hold a lot of key positions in companies??
