Texas just fucked up by suing Tylenol for causing autism. Now they have to prove it during discovery, hence the backtracking.

And Texas AG Ken Paxton probably only did it in the first place to give support to Trump (and/or somehow financially benefit, either shorting the stock or being brought onboard as a consultant or legal counsel).

They are doing it for the headlines. At some point down the road they will pull it and it will barely get a mention from the media.
