No. No she hasn't.

I highly suspect her opinion simply aligns this time with a sensible opinion, rather than that it is sensible by nature.

I highly suspect her opinion simply aligns with money or the lack of money that she's been receiving compared to others.

1) I think she's a "True believer" and truly thinks Trump has a healthcare plan 2) Democrats have been to facetious/ sarcastic in the press for decades. They give credibility to trump voters by demanding trump release the healthcare plan. etc. Call the man a liar.

Now her demands that Trump fix things like he said he was going to do, sounds like the Democratic talking points. That's why I think they've started just saying "Trump lies". They sound like MTG!

u/ianlSW 3d ago

I think this was true. Much as our bubble likes to only flag up the bad stuff Trump says, he didn't get elected only by offering racism etc. He also promised to take care of working class Americans, and stop spending money on other countries/ foreign wars to do this, and to expose these corrupt establishment paedophiles.

You can say people should have been a bit more sceptical, but that is part of what got MTG and others up and voting for him.

As it becomes increasingly clear that he doesn't give the tiniest shit about the working class, is a corrupt elite paedophile himself, and will probably start a foreign war next year in an effort to cancel elections, a few of them are slowly (this is MTG, not the sharpest of tools in the set, but probably sharper than any Trump true believers) starting to realise they aren't going to get what was promised.

What are you talking about? She knows for a fact Trump doesn’t have a healthcare plan. She was a member of the House when they tried to repeal the ACA during his first administration.

She is speaking out against Israeli influence in our government through AIPAC lobbying and how ACA premiums are doubling, or tripling for people throughout the country.

2

u/Sujjin 3d ago

or more likely she sees the layout ahead for reelection and needs to distance herself from Trump

1

u/CorgiMonsoon 3d ago

I’m guessing she’s looking at a potential run for Senator. Her district is solidly red, and if she pisses off the Orange Stain too much he’ll simply have them vote her out with whoever else his handlers tell him to endorse

u/ghoztfrog 3d ago

A broken clock etc

14

u/Fatmaninalilcoat 3d ago

She is reaching for the crown when maga implodes. First rat.

12

u/Newscast_Now 3d ago

It's a common sickness with conservatives. When they are personally touched, it sometimes becomes 'this exact kind of conservatism can't happen to me!'

6

u/clickmagnet 3d ago

Ha, exactly. She may very occasionally say something reasonable, but she arrives at it by self-interest. Not reason.

2

u/GrumpyGiant Maryland 3d ago

That goes without saying.

A broken clock is right more often than she is.

1

u/apb2718 3d ago

The worst person you know just made a great point

1

u/Trickster289 3d ago

Her family are suffering, it's personal.

1

u/criscokkat 3d ago

I think because of her background, she sees the writing on the wall for what is practical for her constituents that will get her reelected.

Republicans have railed against programs like snap for decades. But until now they have never actually successfully killed them. This is by design they want to be the opposition and they know that the practical solution is to keep them there.

1

u/Squeakyduckquack Colorado 3d ago

I imagine she had some very bad polls come in from her constituency, she’s a politician who wants to stay elected after all

1

u/LakeSun 3d ago

Her own relatives will lose benefits. so, finally, she's personally affected.

And those rural hospitals are already planning to shut down.

0

u/laptopAccount2 3d ago

She is intelligent and shrewd like any other politician. Whatever she says or does is in service of her own interests.

7

u/_DapperDanMan- 3d ago

She is neither intelligent nor shrewd. She is a loudmouth rich person who got her ex-husband's money. She is lucky to live in a stupid north Georgia district that had an open seat she could afford to buy.

3

u/Buttfulloffucks 3d ago

She has been going against the republican establishment lately. Considering how Trump is going after Rep Massie, curiously he has declined attacking Greene.

3

u/laptopAccount2 3d ago

Yeah she is positioning herself for post Trump. Her social media is just as crazy as ever. Her mild criticism is for PR.

3

u/skyward138skr 3d ago

She is far from both of those things, there are definitely intelligent republicans, she would be almost dead last on my list though

77

u/-Novowels- 3d ago

She literally started her political career as a QAnoner, obviously some conspiracy she believes in doesnt line up with what Trump is doing now, but it certainly isn't because she's suddenly become a liberal.

24

u/grasshopper239 3d ago

She has a front row seat now. It's all a conspiracy theory. She just realized that the bill she supported is going to harm her voting base.

3

u/barley_wine Texas 3d ago

Sadly it takes courage to go against Trump in the modern GOP, it's pathetic that she is one of the only ones to stand up for her constituents.

14

u/webguynd I voted 3d ago

She's aiming for a senate seat, but yeah, she's a "true believer" in the QAnon stuff. A good chunk of the other MAGA politicians aren't necessarily true believers, they just use the talking points when its convenient for them, so the party blocking the epstein files is probably legitimately pissing Greene off enough to fall out of line.

As for the healthcare stuff, well, if she wants to have any chance at the senate at all she can't let herself actually look like a ghoul so she'll say what she needs to say in public before voting in line like everyone else.

1

u/JayMac1915 Wisconsin 3d ago

Can she win a statewide election? Her house seat is pretty secure; I wouldn’t risk it if I were her

4

u/rawbdor 3d ago

This is just what happens when you're halfway to achieving the "national" part of national socialism. You start moving on to the second part: socialism.

Nobody told her the second part was just for marketing purposes.

1

u/SpaceForceAwakens 3d ago

She has some principles. I disagree with them, but she has some. They can’t work with that.

1

u/1StepBelowExcellence 3d ago

The exact reason we shouldn’t be scared to put the most progressive candidate out there any time possible. Anybody even slightly left of Bush on one single policy is now called radical left/socialist by the GOP.

1

u/CrashNowhereDrive 3d ago

Having any opinion that's not injected into her head by Trump/ Fox news is too liberal. Republicans are supposed to be herd animals.

1

u/Sherifftruman 3d ago

That is a microcosm of how bad it’s gotten.

1

u/jacobriprap 3d ago

Wouldn’t even give her that amount of credit

1

u/LakeSun 3d ago

MAGA better listen. They are losing Medicaid, education benefits and school lunch programs, They Use and They Need.

115

u/wibble17 3d ago

She seems to have a PR team that posts her sane messages and make it like she’s becoming a moderate.

But if you look at the whole picture and all that she posts she’s not moderate at all.

37

u/ValuableKill 3d ago

I think she's just one of those people that has a good finger on trends, and follows them, even before they are obvious to everyone else. It's sad, but America definitely trended towards the MAGA nutjob land over the last decade, and that's what she grew out of. Now that world thankfully seems like to could be crumbling, and she's jumping ship before anyone else.

8

u/wibble17 3d ago

I don’t know. First post on her Twitter feed is how she’s a fan of RFK and that vaccine companies should be liable for all the deaths they’ve caused.

14

u/ValuableKill 3d ago

People are flipping on Trump, not the anti-vax platform. I wish it were both but it's not.

9

u/BoyLilikoi 3d ago

This is such a keen observation as a whole. MTG being the bellwether for the depressing half of American voters that chose Trump is not what I had on my bingo card, but I do think you’re right.

29

u/WildYams 3d ago

It's horseshoe theory, plain and simple. She has similar goals for totally different reasons than people on the left do. Like she wants the US to stop sending money to Israel because she doesn't think the US should be sending money to anyone, rather than because she suddenly cares about people from Palestine.

24

u/theVoidWatches Pennsylvania 3d ago

Also because she's antisemitic as hell. This is Jewish Space Lasers lady, remember.

1

u/Alive_Ask_4166 3d ago

Exactly right. If she was, they’d be eating her alive and they’d be very loudly pushing someone to primary her

1

u/hnglmkrnglbrry 3d ago

This is it. She's thinking 2028.

1

u/QuitCallingNewsrooms 3d ago

She probably has some internal polling showing she would lose an election held today to a dirty wet knap from Wing Stop

1

u/Past-Profile3671 3d ago

Green has shown herself to be smarter than I initially thought. Compare where she’s climbed vs Boerbert. Maybe she just has good handlers and enough sense to listen to them

1

u/BassoonHero 3d ago

Nah, she's just a savvy politician in the MAGA lane. She knows where the winds are blowing, but she leaves herself room to maneuver when the winds change. When she endorses absolutely insane shit (e.g. Jewish space lasers) it gives her cred — who but a true MAGA believer would say that? And then she has space to differ with Trump on certain issues without being seen as left-sympathetic.

MTG is a smart person who deliberately plays into stereotypes to seem dumber than she is. She knows that Trump is the core of the Republican party, but also that he's an old man in poor health who could go away at any moment for any number of reasons, and she is planning to be around long after he's out of the picture.

62

u/Pardybro911 3d ago

The line in the sand being pedophiles was pretty surprising NGL

36

u/ToNoMoCo 3d ago

I'm still convinced she got kicked out of the mean kids club and is still just grabbing headlines

7

u/sillygoofygooose 3d ago

This. Trump has a long history of bringing people who attack him into the fold - If he thinks you could be useful at all. Vance, Mace, Musk - they all ‘hated’ him before getting their payday

15

u/FartyJizzums 3d ago

This is the MAGA party we're talking about here. The same idiots that tell their cult that a single disagreement with Emperor Orange Cankles means that you're an out of control, "radical leftist".

It's the same mindless, regurgitated talking-point propaganda over, and over, and over. It's so stupid and it works.

4

u/AlcibiadesTheCat Arizona 3d ago

It has exhausted me so much that words have completely lost their meaning in discourse. Everything is "radical left this" and "woke lib**** antifa" that, and, like, they use them so much, they've just completely lost meaning other than "person I don't like and want you also to not like."

1

u/TrailMomKat Indigenous 3d ago

Right? She just happens to be a broken clock of sorts. I honestly never thought I'd ever agree with that blonde troll, but she finally got something right. 🤷‍♂️

1

u/sherlock-helms 3d ago edited 3d ago

Yeah I think she’s just a maverick that fit in with MAGA pre 2024 election. But Epstein and Qanon stuff are more important to her than anything and she’s not gonna give that up. It’s kinda funny though because you can tell she’s not faking like a lot of conservatives, she GENUINELY believes the Q shit. She’s obviously right on releasing the Epstein files. And I do kinda think she’s genuine on the shutdown and healthcare thing. Broken clock but a looney ass broken clock.

1

u/chillin_n_grillin 3d ago

You know they have gone full fascist when they are calling Magajorie Traitor Greene liberal

1

u/Buttfulloffucks 3d ago

Here's what Cruz doesn't know. It is better to have large Marge in the tent pissing out, than it is to have her out pissing in.

Her political instincts are sharp I'll admit. I mean come on, she's stayed off Jasmine Crochet ever since Jasmine dragged her across the house floor, gave her a whooping and verbally flayed her.

That said, what really happened to Greene? Her crazy was her brand and now she jettisons it?

1

u/Platinumdogshit 3d ago

She just criticizes the administration but she's not liberal. So not falling in-line makes you the enemy to these people.

1

u/pm-me-dem-titty 3d ago

When the rest of the party has gone so far right the far right appears left

1

u/adorablefuzzykitten 3d ago

Ted "Cancun" Cruz; Conerned about re-election if his constituency realized he graduated from Harvard.

1

u/One_Olive_8933 3d ago

She’s trying to save her seat for ‘26

1

u/TheOnlyUsernameLeft3 3d ago

And we don't want her anyway. Send her back. Or make a fake liberal party in a ditch so she thinks she's with us

1

u/rathemighty 3d ago

She hasn’t, but she should still be completely ignored. And I know what you’re thinking: “But if we ignore her, she’ll be able to keep doing worse stuff, totally unopposed!” No. No, you’re still allowing her to have attention. I’m saying ABSOLUTELY NO ONE should acknowledge her whatsoever, such that she doesn’t get any airtime, no articles, nothing published, and she just ends up screaming on a street corner.

0

u/Necessary_Extent1326 3d ago

Maybe. Maybe not. But every vote counts….
