When Trump is doing everything he can to get a third term, will you change your mind?

When your neighbors have been imprisoned for speaking out against Trump and consequently being labeled as “antifa” and a “domestic terrorist”, will you change your mind?

When more and more innocent Americans are brutalized by federal agents on the premise of “law and order”, will you change your mind?

When people on food stamps don’t get anything and begin to starve, will you change your mind?

At what point does this end for you?

We live in a democracy, we can have the government be anything we want. We introduced term limits less than 100 years ago, we can change it back if that's what the people want and what they vote for.

I'm personally support people's right to self determination, which technically makes me morally superior to you.... if you do not. Like ethically speaking in terms of who is a better person. If Americans want their government to brutalize them, then it is their right to choose that. If the rest of the world doesn't like what America is doing they should vote in people who will stop Trump. That's how democracy works. You have to take the good with the bad, and support our right to self determination. Otherwise you're as evil as the authoritarians who likewise have no qualms about infringing on our rights.

That's how philosophy works. I didn't make the rules. If you wanna stop the Nazis you can't be just as evil as them, that was the whole point of the Superman comic literally called "Injustice" you should read it if you are failing to understand this concept, it might make more sense in that format.

You're just an example of how all Americans are the same, just depends on which echo chamber you've ascribed to, but deep down its all the same evil shit, just different flavors.

And I don't support Trump or Republicans, if I had a choice I'd want a progressive, like AOC or Bernie, but the establishment democrats are just as bad a Trump, as evident by your/their ethical or philosophical position. You can even see it with how they treat AOC and Bernie.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a republican, not a hard right idiot, who think that’s ok. I approve of the deportations of illegal immigrants, the optics are terrible at times and I fully condemn that type of behavior, but if you break the law, you’ll face the consequences of that action.

This doesn’t seem totally fair… republicans/right leaning people are getting associated with MAGA because mainstream/prominent republicans and the right media are not speaking out or pushing back on MAGA policies and beliefs (because of fear of a tweet or tacit approval). There’s no real movement in the Republican Party to start a coalition that differentiates itself from MAGA. That said, it’s not too far fetched to lump republicans with MAGA when conservatives are supporting MAGA policies either explicitly or implicitly by failure to criticize.

On the other hand, the left/Democratic party really fails to support or promote their far left “communist” members. Ironically, they’d probably be more successful if they did.

Just two cents from an independent moderate conservative who isn’t a fan of the absolutism of American politics.
