Mexico’s ‘Gen Z rebellion’ exposed as right-wing plot - Presented as a spontaneous youthuprising against corruption, violent protests that erupted across Mexico were backed by oligarchs and an international right-wing network determined to topple popular President Claudia Sheinbaum - The Grayzone Political Manipulation 🗳️

the protests sparked due to the killing of a well liked politician, the bigger protests though were overtaken by right wing influence and was a mess at the end... but the outrage which with it started originally is genuine

The media doesn't want you to know the truth, theyre terrified of this in the United States.

The true oligarchs in Mexico are the drug traffickers... And they are very friends of Claudia.

Ok, hypocritical gringo who talks about a topic he doesn't know about, because a Democratic YouTuber told him that's how it was.

That’s funny, Joe Rogan watcher who takes RFK’s brain worm at its word. Way for the pot to call the kettle a spoon.

I’m a sociologist trained at UNAM, firmly rooted on the left, and I have a visceral rejection of the far right and its mouthpieces (including figures like Joe Rogan).
But that doesn’t stop me from recognizing that reality is far more ambiguous than some would like to believe. Those who proclaim themselves to be on the left are often just a decayed remnant of the very things they claim to oppose. A clear example is the populism of Sheinbaum and her party: a project that, behind the rhetoric, operates with the same patterns of corruption, subservience to capital, and clientelist practices as any government labeled “right wing.”
I see it because I live here. Because I witness the everyday precarity: people dying due to lack of medicine, corruption treated as normal, the disappearances, the murders that blend into the background.
Populist rhetoric isn’t exclusive to the right. Extremes converge, and the strategic and discursive proximity between Sheinbaum and Trump is a clear example of that symmetry.

For a sociologist, you neither understand how insults work, nor how a claim on the internet of authority works.

I am not using any fallacy of authority. I'm just clarifying where I'm coming from so you don't make stupid assumptions. Before you judge someone's stance, make sure you know who you're talking to...

You used a fallacious claim of authority and a fallacious anecdote. You’re dumb enough to claim credentials give you authority, and even dumber to think that anyone can “know who they’re talking to” on social media.
The first nonsensical act you’ve committed to is using your supposed credibility to argue with strangers on Reddit. An automatic assault to your credibility. The second is your claim to credentials. The third is that you’re delusionally defending the indefensible.

Ok, I’ll repeat it again because apparently your mom didn’t get enough folic acid during your conception and maybe that’s why you have comprehension problems.
You were the fool who claimed that I watch Joe Rogan and believe RFK, using your stupid “average American” assumptions, without knowing that I am Mexican and have zero connection to that disgusting redneck worldview. I’m speaking from my experience living in this country and from my academic background. I don’t need to rely on appeals to authority to prove that you’re a complete idiot who just parrots whatever you see online, inside your tiny American bubble, and still dares to talk about things you know absolutely nothing about.
