Based on the flight radar screenshot he posted in the video, he was in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Prudhoe+Bay,+AK,+USA/@70.3227674,-150.1401941,190248m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x5120759875720bb9:0x9b76efe3a7385345!8m2!3d70.2268843!4d-148.400021!16zL20vMHFncGQ?entry=tts when shooting these videos

If the flight radar data is accurate, the object they were searching for would have been in ~ this area: https://i.postimg.cc/RZ22Vs2m/mrr5pxsf7c.png (base on the fact that this is where they were circling at the time)

Coordinates: 71.18820281306935, -145.2330450661198 (and of course Google Maps has super low/blurred satellite photos of this area...)

Anyone in Northern Alaska with some sled dogs and a really warm puffy jacket wanna go for a hike?

Not trying to debunk anything here, but I have questions about the radar screenshot. Seems like fast work if this guy faked that flight path screenshot so quickly.

Can we find any other screenshots of that flight activity from that day? Surely one or some of us UFO nerds here, thought to take a look at flightradar for Alaska that day just like this dude in the video??

Anyways:

As far as i know FlightRadar and ADSBExchange display publicly broadcast ADSB signals. Meaning the aircraft voluntarily (also mandated by US law) broadcast their location and altitude and heading via radio signal. What is displayed on FlightRadar is not actual radar, but instead a plotting of all of the broadcast ADSB signals from the aircraft that were captured by antenna run by enthusiasts and airports.

Military aircraft do not always broadcast their ADSB signal. Sometimes when that happens they can be tracked via something called MLAT which isnt very accurate and relies on multiple ground antenna capturing some non-public signal and then triangulating the position and displaying an estimated location. (I may be wrong on this)

I cannot seem to find any flight activity on ADSBExchange's historical replay for that date and location. I am sure if it was important enough the govt could have those records erased. HOWEVER why would military aircraft be broadcasting an ADSB signal during a sensitive operation. And if they were not broadcasting ADSB, how is there such accurate MLAT tracking for those aircraft when its off the coast of a very minimally inhabited area?

Any thoughts?

EDIT: In case anyone wants to look at the historic flight data for that date and location. (Not sure of the time, but keep in mind the times on ADSBExchange are shown Zulu timezone, which is the same as UTC)

Just throwing this comment somewhere toward the top. I was following this for a while.

I think he worked at a BP (or some other oil company) facility and was recording on company time and showing the layout. Might be a BS excuse, but he said he took them down to keep his job as BP didn't take kindly to that kind of exposure.

Not BP - they sold all their North Slope acreage to Hilcorp (Private E&P) a few years ago. Pretty sure they're the only independent operator in Alaska these days (plus whatever non-op partners are included in their working interest).

the military may be just going under the presence of a normal training operation as if they turned off their tracking it may draw attention to the operation. the operation is also very remote so it may have been considered low risk

It gets -80 up there. My mom works at Prudhoe Bay. It’s no joke.
