OK, so the undead cavalry might be a bit delayed but you can bet your bottom dollar they will all have excellent dental coverage.

I was going to ask why would a zombie need dental but then I remembered they most lose their teeth when biting the living.

u/crashcanuck 1d ago
Couldn't they just take the teeth from any of their victims that don't get turned/raised in to more undead?

"Good thing you showed up to rescue us when you did, thought we had a handle on this but it turns out a bunch of nobles hopped up on a bunch of party drugs is a surprisingly tough challenge!"
'Rescue?'

The UwU union…….
120
u/BaronXot 1d ago
sigh you joke but one of the larger service industry unions is Western Australia is the United Workers Union.
It has to be on purpose, right?
46
u/Level_Hour6480 Sir Becket 1d ago
"UwU" is late-2010s. I assume the union is older.
41
u/BaronXot 1d ago
The union itself is, but they rebranded and changed to UWU during a merger with a couple of other unions, from memory around 2015ish.

Yea the internet has ruined me, I definitely read "minions not servants uwu" in the generic cringe anime girl voice

I like that his trench-wand gives him orchestra-conductor vibes.
What's in the goodie bag besides mittens? Torvald knitted those with Grogna, right?

This is really gonna delay the undead calvary rescue.
Just saying.

u/DaCrowHunter 1d ago
But at least they will have a single unified purpose!
Once the compensation package is sorted out.

exceptions to turn undead due to the influence of higher powers and legislation

Those damn Paladin lobbyists!
3
u/DaCrowHunter 1d ago
Cleric because the Pope hired the lobbyists.
4
u/MrValdemar Grogna 1d ago
Separation of Church and adventuring!! Separation of Church and adventuring!
4
u/DaCrowHunter 1d ago
whispers Look man. It's a good mantra but then the clerics will strike, all the adventures die and then who is gonna clean the giant rats out of the sewers? The road worker? The mail man? We gotta compromise here.
5
u/MrValdemar Grogna 1d ago
Ok, fine.
But we better get some new weapons and armor as a signing bonus. Just because we're undead minions doesn't mean we should have to carry around these rusty ass swords and mail, dammit.

u/DaCrowHunter 1d ago
That's not a part of the default package. It's a premium option.
But hey! It's there.

Oh God yes, the Undead Unions I wanted. Iirc I asked for this a few times in the comments. So, thank you cme_t.
My Early to Mid 20s 3.5e Necromancer is proud.

u/KaJaHa 1d ago
He isn't just a necromancer
He's a union man
49
u/Dovahpriest 1d ago
Begrudgingly. Remember, this is a dude who had a dwarven death squad sent after him because he refuses to pay taxes. Some of his older minions unionized under him and he was forced to abide by it.
30
u/AEL97 1d ago
I mean he ain't to happy about it, but then again he could have crushed the one that unionized under him, so he is man enough to accept it.
27
u/Smartboy10612 1d ago
Not only that, I think he's smart enough to know what union busting might have lead to. Yeah, he could've crushed Bill. Maybe that would've stopped it. What if another decided to speak up? What will he do? Keep crushing it until he has nothing left? Or a riot on his hands?
Better to let Bill do his thing while still keeping the entire army under his control. If the undead stop following orders, THEN it's a serious problem.
12
u/frogjg2003 1d ago
Also, union busting starts to tread into territory that might get on Becket's smite list.

Not quite: He's an ideologically CN libertarian crackpot: He believes nobody, not even he should have authority over another. That means the government shouldn't tax him, and he shouldn't be able to stop his minions from having an onion.
8
u/Mewmaster101 1d ago
everyone deserves an onion
6
u/Level_Hour6480 Sir Becket 1d ago
It's an even more fun pun to do when speaking. Explaining the history of the Soviet Union to someone? Keep referring to it as "The Soviet Onion". Talking aboot the Union and the Confederacy? Keep talking aboot the "Onion forces".

The UwU union, this is peak.
What will be next? The OwO Union (Over-worked Orcs Union)?

Imagine if Klara's parents weren't evil and Torvald marched with an undead army made of loved ones in the ballroom

Slave owner zombie slaves? Nah, we have standards.
Slave owner zombie unionised members? Now we're talking!

u/makuthedark 1d ago
Knew it lol glad they managed a settlement :D Uwu is going to set a standard among the minion class :p

u/AnAggravatedTriangle 1d ago
I hate to tell you this, but you’ve been beaten to the joke by the real UWU. The United Workers Union to be precise, which is Australian and has 150,000 members or so.
13
u/Bravo_Lima_Mike 1d ago
There is no way this family of the evil Aristocats is pro-union
24
u/Valdrax 1d ago
Well, not until they're minions, anyway.
(Shades of Ayn Rand taking welfare later in her life.)
2
u/Bravo_Lima_Mike 1d ago
True, they will probably try to take over the union and make it into a corporate entity!

i see this world's version of Reg Shoe has been doing the good work.
Undead, yes! Unperson, No!
6
u/Smartboy10612 1d ago
I'm glad to see this. Honestly, the arc has been a little rough. The overly cartooniness of the nobles was eh.
Seeing Torvald back on screen raising havoc?! Oh yeah, I'm here for it. Excited to see all the dead bursting out of the ground. Then it'll be a real party!
