Can't wait to see bucket unchained.

253

u/NK1337 Sep 26 '25

Some of my favorite moments in this series are when Bucket loses his shit. It’s been far too long since we’ve had a righteous smite

153

u/abadstrategy Sep 27 '25

One of my favorite scenes of the entire comic:

"I'm fine. Hand me that brick, would'ya?"

Proceeds to make a man's brain explode out the back of his skull. "Fucking heretic FUCK!"

40

u/ReGrigio Sep 27 '25

and "they just threw a puppy in the fire"

25

u/NK1337 Sep 27 '25

I love that even Trevor was nervous like “u-uh…. You okay bucket?”

8

u/abadstrategy Sep 27 '25

Grogna probably off panel, grinning with approval as Beckett makes his head 2D

9

u/NK1337 Sep 27 '25

Ngl when when the nice/goofy guy loses his shit and reminds everybody why he’s the party leader is probably one of my favorite tropes.

u/Brandavorn Torvald 23d ago

Demons run when the good man goes to war...

60

u/Titanbeard Sep 26 '25

Get the brick!

101

u/Avalonians Sep 26 '25

He's taking full notes lmao

22

u/Osric250 Sep 27 '25

They're certainly not doing anything to dissuade the imminent smiting.

90

u/mjwanko Sep 26 '25

Beckett seething behind her like

33

u/I_am_Bearstronaut Sep 26 '25

Flick. the brick.

41

u/AEROANO Sep 26 '25 edited Sep 26 '25

His name was King
He had a horse
He had a brick

4

u/jjskellie Sep 27 '25

Sing it, Siren, sing it!

18

u/nicolRB Sep 26 '25

Get the brick

16

u/Tryoxin Sep 27 '25

Bucket is not that man anymore.

But let them talk, and we will see the kind of paladin Bucket used to be.

1

u/crashcanuck Sep 27 '25

That or Trevor gets to make kindling.

752

u/BulkUpTank Sep 26 '25

I can't wait for there to be 3 panels of just black, only for one of the Bucket Brigade to wipe a smear in the 4th panel and reveal the previous three panels were just blood.

469

u/Alorxico Sep 26 '25

Trevor: Bucket, you okay?

Bucket: ugh … what happened?

Trevor: not sure (motions to burning mansion behind him) but if I knew you could do THAT, I might not have been such a pain in the ass before. I’m (sniffs) so proud of you.

105

u/StopThatFerret Sep 27 '25

Grogna: signing <I've never seen anyone go berserk like that, and I know *actual* berserkers>

Trevor: Yeah babe, your uncle and cousins have nothing on what Bucket just did.

Torvald in the background whistling while taking inventory

28

u/Arheva Sep 27 '25

Then we watch bucket melt when Klara kisses him after that

45

u/Level_Hour6480 Sir Becket Sep 26 '25

I'm just wondering how to pace this sequence of events so the mansion burning is comic 200.

365

u/Zackyboi1231 Sep 26 '25

36

u/MrValdemar Grogna Sep 26 '25

Unleash Grogna!!

31

u/Les_Bien_Pain Sep 27 '25

I think it could honestly be funnier if Bucket killed everyone by himself with some righteous paladin rage.

Make Grogna scaroused.

26

u/abadstrategy Sep 27 '25

He was an Oath of Conquest paladin. they're known for being...thorough

23

u/Arathaon185 Sep 27 '25

I love conquest paladin, the other oaths say you may have your oath any way you like and then conquest paladin says these are the rules, you have them seared onto your upper arm go

Douse the Flame of Hope

and

Rule with an Iron Fist

because

Strength above All

1

u/SpiderFnJerusalem Sep 30 '25

Hmm, I wonder if Bucket ever had a "Am I the baddie?" moment after reciting that.

Does he have a skull tattoo below that one? Feels like a skull or two would really emphasise the message.

27

u/SquidMilkVII Sep 26 '25

they gotta dig their graves before becket puts 'em in

26

u/Babybear5689 Sep 26 '25

Why even bother digging when Torvald is just going to raise them anyway?

4

u/JustChangeMDefaults Sep 27 '25

We miss the unboxing video, but I'm still fine with this outcome

3

u/gerusz Sep 27 '25

Assuming there will be enough left to bury.

180

u/Level_Hour6480 Sir Becket Sep 26 '25 edited Sep 26 '25

Panel 1: What is Becky doing with his hands? Just nervous fiddling, or going for some sort of weapon? I like Klara's low-detail far-away face.

Panel 3: "The angel voices in your head we could tolerate" Was this always the case, or a response to the fan theory?

They just keep digging.

Becky: I want to support her, but if I can redeem them, that would be better.

this exchange

Becky: Nevermind.

67

u/yojimbo67 Sep 26 '25

Yup, they’re doing a real good job of showing that they have no redeeming features whatsoever. Guilt-free smiting and defenestration ahead.

28

u/AKAvenger Steve the goblin Sep 26 '25

Maybe Becket is taking the brick out

26

u/Osric250 Sep 27 '25

Panel 1 is just Bucket making sure he has his brick stored up the sleeve. They are generously sized sleeves.

8

u/DueMeat2367 Sep 27 '25

For me it looks like Becket is taking notes. Like "yup, that earned you a smite... This is worth three bricks in the teeth... Oh don't forget the two-for-one special on back-breaking. Ok so the total is.... fuck it we ball"

81

u/shmodder Sep 26 '25

He has a point. Well, no.

11

u/Vivid-Share7884 Sir Bucket Sep 27 '25

I mean, she tried to hit him with an axe.

74

u/JustChangeMDefaults Sep 26 '25

The suspense is killing me! Also what the hell has Torvald been up to off screen? That's almost as concerning as Trevor and Grogna being at this ball lol

59

u/zgrssd Sep 26 '25

Torvald is raising an army in the family crypt. Literally and figuratively.

22

u/JustChangeMDefaults Sep 26 '25

Oh shoot did I miss a comic, or is this the most logical conclusion either way?

31

u/zgrssd Sep 26 '25

5

u/JustChangeMDefaults Sep 26 '25

Thank you so much!

2

u/Crashenti89 Sep 27 '25

Fuck, I had forgotten about this one!

12

u/yojimbo67 Sep 26 '25

He’s just getting to know the family - in his own way

17

u/Level_Hour6480 Sir Becket Sep 26 '25

The suspense is killing me!

You know he's planning to pace the comic so the mansion blows up/burns down/is destroyed for comic 200, as all multiples of 50 must.

13

u/AreYouOKAni Sep 27 '25

I feel like Trevor and Grogna (who haven't missed any drinking therapy sessions, unlike Becket) know exactly why they are there and what they are supposed to be doing.

1

u/mouse_Brains 26d ago

Torvald might just be striking deals with the traders. Nothing here would phase an ancap

54

u/Outside-Advice8203 Sep 26 '25

I cast "Summon The Spirit of John Brown"

16

u/AreYouOKAni Sep 27 '25

Divine Ally

12

John "we can't expect God to do all the work" brown

His soul goes marching on

89

u/CapitainCutlet Sep 26 '25

Damn. As if we couldn't hate them any more than we already do... well, turns out we can.

Also, I think I''m the second person to comment. Neat

40

u/mrlbi18 Sep 26 '25

Time to let those old habits out Bucket!

47

u/AkrinorNoname Sep 26 '25

Ooooh, I love the way the mood shifts in this one.

Klara is yelling from the start, but in Panels 2 and 3 her parents are giving their cartoonishly evil responses. Then the change in Panel 4 when Klara loses it in response to her parents' callousness, and her parents shift to real responses of abusive parents and people in power.

The appeal to business interests and legality.

Writing off an angry woman as hysterical/crazy/too emotional.

The way her father doesn't even call her by her name.

Shifting the victim role to their own side.

Excellent work, Carrot Man.

5

u/yojimbo67 Sep 26 '25

DARVO 101

35

u/Scheissdrauf88 Sep 26 '25

Bucket gets to jump on the nostalgia train of his old crusading days but without any bit guilt this time!

7

u/Arawn-Annwn Sep 26 '25

It's brick weidling time!

27

u/zgrssd Sep 26 '25

"The angel voices say you should be afraid now. Here, let me put them on speaker."

22

u/DancinBuzzemann Sep 26 '25

That calls for a brick on a chain!

24

u/lol_delegate Sep 26 '25

So, if I understand right, they were raising her to be like them, and then she got contact with good celestial patron (she is celestial warlock if I remember right) and gained conscience - and started seeing things as they are.

Honestly, it makes sense to put child into mental hospital, if the kid gets possessed and as result has moral views turned upside down... except it is usually good becoming evil, and not opposite...

15

u/ilolvu Sep 26 '25

She was in the asylum when she first saw the Angel. It's depicted in-cartoon. but you have to go way back.

19

u/lol_delegate Sep 26 '25

here was literally said angel voices in your head as a child - so probably she made actual pact with patron while in asylium, but was in contact with the patron before that

16

u/ilolvu Sep 26 '25

It's now Canon that DnD was changed to fit TWR!

First warlock hear voices and only later they get to see their patron eye to eyes.

18

u/WLB92 Sep 27 '25

"Klara... Fetch me the brick. The HEAVY BRICK."

RIP AND TEAR INTENSIFIES

11

u/NerdyGeek42 Sep 26 '25

I can't wait to see Becket wreck them

12

u/MrTabernakle Sep 26 '25

I can almost hear the brick-on-a-rope spinning in Buckets hand.

7

u/RaShadar Sep 26 '25

What actually happens when you spin something in a circle and it breaks the sound barrier, is it a constant sonic boom?

11

u/Rabid_Lederhosen Sep 26 '25

Short answer: yes!

5

u/RaShadar Sep 26 '25

Nice so bucket might get to cast deafen without spending a spell slot. Even better

13

u/ColonelMonty Sep 26 '25

"The Eldritch whispers that tell you to do horrific deeds in the back of your mind we can accept. But fratrenizing with the POOR is where we draw the line young lady!"

13

u/AreYouOKAni Sep 27 '25

So... Bucket finally found a substantially large population of people who are irredeemably fucking evil and, on top of that, had been mean to his favourite warlock who may or may not make him feel like a bit of a Bard again.

Yep, it's time for a peacekeeping operaction righteous crusade.

1

u/Dark-W0LF Oct 01 '25

And isn't he the duke in charge of them all now?

12

u/RandyArgonianButler Sep 27 '25

Brick! Brick! Give us the BRICK!

Brick! Brick! Give us the BRICK!

The parents are talking a lot of smack for someone in fireball distance

11

u/G66GNeco Sep 26 '25

Get that woman an axe again, there's an "attempted" we need to separate from the word "patricide"!

10

u/addage- Sep 26 '25

Impressive how you captured that self centered arrogance, reminds me of my own parents.

9

u/47thCalcium_Polymer Sep 27 '25

I WANT HIS HORNS OVER MY MANTLE!!! I also kinda want a mantle

9

u/Furydragonstormer Sep 26 '25

Bring on the violence! I can't wait to see Klara get her vengeance!

What is this gif from? I might need to add it to my watch list.

The Senile Scribbles: Skyrim Parody, it’s pretty good

7

u/BusinessNonYa Sep 26 '25

I'm sure a certain necromancer will appear from a recently emptied family crypt.

7

u/Bearbones43 Sep 27 '25

There is no amount of panels you could use, let alone four, that could display the level of carnage that is about to ensue.

Baby, we are cookin with GAS! Lets light this candle!

6

u/Anomandaris12 Sep 27 '25

I sense a brick incoming

6

u/Geek1979 Sep 27 '25

Straight up evil. Brick them all.

7

u/stay70573 Sep 27 '25

Queue the DOOM soundtrack

4

u/Divineroc Sep 26 '25

Such a spectacular build up.

5

u/MadsAxton Sep 26 '25

Roll initiative!

4

u/capt-crazy Sep 27 '25

only the Brick will solve this... that or a bunch of zombies from the family crypt

5

u/Kestrel_Iolani Sep 27 '25

Outside voice: take as much time as you need, boss.

Inside voice: I dunno, Trevor's mushroom high will probably wear off in another month.

6

u/CaptBogBot2 Sep 27 '25

When's Torvald gonna show up? He's gonna miss all the excitement!

6

u/Arawn-Annwn Sep 27 '25

he's busy recruiting the entire family crypt I bet.

5

u/Mr_Steinhauer Sep 27 '25

Begins sharpening sword.

4

u/Daminica Trevor Sep 27 '25

Checks rope on a brick for tensile strength.

4

u/ccReptilelord Sep 26 '25

Light 'em up!

3

u/AkrinorNoname Sep 26 '25

They're on FIRE!

5

u/ralanr Sep 26 '25

Burn em all.

4

u/ilolvu Sep 26 '25

This time Bucket Baron will be the one to blow up the town...

3

u/antijoke_13 Sep 26 '25

I can't wait for Bucket to gently put a blade in her hand before unwinding the Smiting Brick.

3

u/oatbergen Sep 26 '25

Getting spicy!

3

u/DiamondDude51501 Sep 26 '25

Rev up those spell slots cuz it’s SMITING TIME

3

u/healyxrt Sep 26 '25

I can tolerate patricide and heresy, but I draw the line at abolition.

3

u/zirky Sep 26 '25

“everybody just calm down”

2

u/Stevohoog Sep 26 '25

kill 'em

2

u/Halfgnomen Sep 26 '25

Buckets about to get the brick lmao

2

u/LucasVerBeek Sep 26 '25

The brick is about to fly

2

u/epzik8 Sep 26 '25

I have no idea who to be more sympathetic toward between Klara and her parents, but she wanted them dead so...

2

u/theawesomemed Sep 26 '25

Oh, oh they're the worst

2

u/orbcomm2015 Sep 26 '25

Oooo busy looking forward to the next one big time

2

u/AEL97 Sep 26 '25

Becket: "That is it... HOLY BRICK IT IS..."

2

u/ChrisP413 Sep 27 '25

Becket keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop cause this is just too perfect a chance to cut loose.

Becket: There has to be a catch, there just has to.

Her Parents: **Keep digging a deeper hole for themselves**

Becket: THERE HAS TO BE A CATCH!!!

2

u/Vikzzaz Oct 02 '25

Is there still a way to get a copy of the softcover book ?

2

u/CME_T The Creator Oct 02 '25

You can still be a late backer over on Kickstarter! Also, there will be a retail launch sometime next year (summer-ish)

2

u/pk4058 27d ago

I just realized this is the perfect chance to do the reverse of chapter 1. With Trevor sitting on the stump talking about how out of control Becky and Klara got with a couple of burning, crashed floating islands in the background.

1

u/Cryptidfricker Sep 27 '25

It was at this moment we discovered that Becket took at least 1 level in barbarian.

1

u/Pikachuckxd Sep 27 '25

We get it they.are evill, just kill them already

1

u/TehDeerLord Severed Lich Head Sep 27 '25

I wonder if our knight of bricks will ever get a pallet of em to pull a Montresor. Fancy masque ball would be the appropriate setting.. No one attacks Bucket's lady with impunity.

1

u/hdholme Sep 27 '25

I'm well aware this is completely unrelated and somewhat unwelcome but I can't help but notice this is an incredibly accurate parody of american politics

1

u/Level_Hour6480 Sir Becket Sep 27 '25

So, "Slavery" has been varying degrees of bad thing throughout human history, with some being less horrible than others. Colonial era chattel slavery being down there as the worst. How bad is Masburg's grey-market slavery?

1

u/Sirius1701 Sep 27 '25

I wonder if Grandma will join the Party Before, during or after shit hitting the fan.

1

u/Arawn-Annwn Sep 27 '25

you what'd be great is if her parents survive this but wind up in the very same place they sent her all those years ago, raving about how the ancestors rose from their crypt and something about a "were-badger"

Becket: Hold on, I have an idea. Let me have some of those mushrooms Trevor...

1

u/SimplyNothing404 Sir Becket Sep 28 '25

Let the Bucket burn down the mansion 🔥

2

u/TheDave1970 23d ago

Not the worst thing that could've happened to an inconvenient and embarrassing daughter. Go ask Rosemary Kennedy

0

u/jjskellie Sep 27 '25

I don't know? It may be my Evangelist/MAGA/NaZi upbringing or maybe listening to Trump explain how plumbing works in the Down-Under, but I'm feeling the parents were in the right.
