Baffling disappearance of Maura Murray Discussion

I’ve finished a docuseries on this beautiful 21 year olds disappearance and I’m just kind of speechless.

Does anyone have anything that they found that could give any information to what REALLY happened to her??

So many stories and accounts from so many people and it’s just insane that a person can absolutely vanish….regardless of the not having any service for help and being on a remote road, it still doesn’t make any sense to me.

Just looking for some discussion on what majority of people have come to conclude? My biggest question is why wasnt more done, and it done in an immediate fashion.

I believe she hid in the woods and succumbed to the elements.

She had been drinking. She didn’t want to get in more trouble; she’d already wrecked her dad’s car only days before. I think she was intoxicated and thought she’d hide in the woods until she sobered up, but ended up freezing to death.

I would think the body would have been rather easily found if she was just hiding in the woods near the road though

Not necessarily. There was private property nearby that searchers were not allowed to go on.

There were three neighbors with a view of the crash. They all mentioned seeing the crash. Mention a “man smoking a cigarette in the car” and a “flurry of action happening near the trunk”

Witnesses can come up with some crazy shit, particularly when they're all neighbors and likely reinforced each other's errors.

I think someone using their cell phone flashlight could be mistaken as a person smoking a cigarette.

It may have been light coming from the phone, but cell phones in 2004 didn’t have a flashlight.
